CAKE THOUGHTS,and other stuff.

I'm a sucker for a fad, I love that unicorn cakes became such a huge thing... and are so mega cute to look at! I wonder whats next... Llamas are are my bet!
I recently discovered www.bakingtimeclub.com which are a super stylish sprinkle company... they're also gluten free and vegan which is mega handy, I sway between them and Sprinkletti for my cake sprinkle needs! The cake on the left screams summer, when in fact we had a week of heavy snow the day after I made it! Fresh flowers have been on my 'things-to-do' cake list for sometime... and I loved finally getting a chance to play around! Making the cake was the more time consuming part, playing with the arrangement took next to no time! Shout out to the florist who suggested the lilac Roses! And a bargain cake stand from Kitchen Craft, flat edges! The cake on the right was based on the clients own colour scheme, and arrangement, reminds me of a super vintage shabby chic style!
I loved working with Edible Imaging, how super easy and effective! I had no idea you could create such bold looks this way! These were printed at The Cake Decorating Company (I use them ALL the time, super speedy service ect). I would say they're not super cheap, especially the side wrap as you need a lot of image for a 20cm across cake, but perfect for a special occasion!
